Abstract
La filosofía como conocimiento del ser y de sus exigencias es la más alta y noble ocupación del hombre, pues ella envuelve en sí todo nuestro ser con un sentido de radical trascendencia. La noble tarea de pensar, que comenzó históricamente con los presocráticos, y que hunde sus raíces en el siglo V, A. de C., ha constituido el más alto empeño del hombre de occidente. En realidad parece ser, que toda la filosofía, fue avistada en el siglo V, A. de C., en las escuelas Jónica y Eleática, por los genios de Heráclito y Parménides, cuando el segundo formula la realidad del ser; y el primero la ley del devenir, que en nuestro sentir, podría definirse, de lo absoluto a lo contingente, o en otros términos, de la esencia a la existencia, y de la potencia al acto.
