Abstract
O texto realiza algumas incursões teóricas sobre os fundamentos metodológicos da Sociologia compreensiva de Max Weber, para tanto, realizou-se um estudo bibliográfico em relação as tipologias de ação social, pois as proposições teórico-metodológicas weberianas são bastante atuais para pesquisas que priorizam aspectos motivacionais das relações sociais. Buscou-se diagnosticar o perfil de cunho qualitativo dos cidadãos que acompanhavam as discussões na Assembléia Legislativa do Estado do Amapá (ALAP) no período que compreende o segundo semestre de 2011. Nesse processo, traçou-se um diálogo entre os conceitos e categorias de análise que envolve o debate sobre a democracia representativa e participativa, princípios e valores amplamente disputados pela teoria política. Posteriormente estabeleceram-se relações entre as motivações individuais e o processo de representação e participação social nas sessões públicas do legislativo estadual. De modo geral, observou-se que o parlamento estadual é frequentado por grupos de interesses e cidadãos que buscam atender demandas pontuais de natureza coletiva ou individual
