Abstract
This article contains two parts: - the first part discusses the calculating of partition isotherms using thermodynamic considerations based on research by Guggenheim. The results are good only in the case of ideal solutions. Therefore, isotherms were simulated by ànalyticfunctionswhich are suitable for representing all isotherm bundles no matter what the acidity of the aqueous solution and the concentrations in both phases moy be. - the second part 'deals' with designing a complete extraction installation with a recovery column. Computerized designing makes use of the preceding analytic functions and enables flowrates and concentrations ta be determined at each plate.
