Abstract
The elder is a person that not always can look after himself. It is at the time of receiving the necessary care and attentions that a number of problems are detected in the western system. If the elder has a disease, then the risk for being abused by his family or by the personnel taking care of him increases. The abuse may be mental or physical. We should think that we are now young and that some day we will be aged and we would like to be well cared and to have the necessary attention. Therefore, what we should do now is to provide the aged, be a relative or not, with a good quality of life. There is a saying that goes: "As you treat the aged, that will be the treatment you'll receive from future generations".
