Abstract
Strontium cation complexation with diphenylglycoluril-based molecular clips containing 12-crown-4, 15-crown-5, 18-crown-6 and 21-crown-7 residues was qualitatively studied by FAB mass-spectrometry. It was found that at low concentrations of Sr2+ cations molecular clip with fragments of 15-crown-5 is the most effective, and it is assumed that it is due to the formation of the most stable «sandwich-type» complex. The higher removal degree with an excess of Sr2+ cations is observed in the case of molecular clips with fragments of 18-crown-6 due to the formation of 1:2 composition complexes.
