Abstract
На відміну від багатократно висвітлених біографій письменників, життєвий досвід самих науковців потрапляє в поле зору переважно з нагоди ювілейних дат, що сьогодні ускладнює формування наукової історіографії. З метою подолання означеної ситуації, у статті аналізується біографічний матеріал вченого, літературознавця, першої української дослідниці творчості Ромена Роллана – Ольги Гулі, яка стояла біля витоків кафедри зарубіжної літератури та теорії літератури, що її історія почалася у 1945 році.
