Abstract
El liberalismo radical perdió la oportunidad de constituír y de cohesionar un aparato estatal. Víctima irredenta de una serie de particularismos, esclavo de una denominación sin ancestro ni arraigo en la gran masa del pueblo, después de veinte años de régimen no le quedó salida distinta a descalificar paulatinamente grandes sectores de la opinión pública y engrandecer, por ende -en la adversidad de las tinieblas a donde los lanzaba- a los apóstoles del nuevo credo independiente.
