Abstract
This work investigated and analyzed the adoption the consequences of the publicprivate partnership the town of Ipeuna, in the state of Sao Paulo, with regard to the adoption of a photocopied course packet teaching system. Based on the assumption that the Mário Covas state government policy, ratified nationally by the Fund for the Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and Appreciation of the Teaching Practice (Fundef), induced to the municipalization of elementary school and, as consequence, there was an increase in the number of public-private partnerships. This work considered the survey of demographic, financial, and educational data, the obtaining of semi-structured interviews, and searches in government sites. In the case study, it was possible to note there were changes in municipal educational policy, the decision locus with regard to the syllabus selection and organization and teachers’ training was transfered to the “teaching system”
