Abstract
This paper analyzes the problem of displacement of image in the process of creating Disney comics and animation. The research seeks answers to issues of cultural production, especially the representation of the characters and their impact in the minds of those who consume them. First, we seek the meanings to the concepts of enjoyment (within the imagi-nary) and value having as source research conducted by Eugênio Bucci, professor in the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo. Then, we intend to analyze the complex issue of identity of Mickey Mouse and finally the globalized spectacle of the cultural industry.
