Abstract
Partint de la base que la definició de l’‹‹article literari›› no disposa d’una proposta consensuada entre els diversos estudiosos, aquest treball tracta de fonamentar l’adscripció d’aquest al gènere assagístic en la revisió i l’anàlisi d’un conjunt d’estudis teòrics, tant de l’àmbit literari com del periodístic. D’altra banda, aquest article analitza les reflexions de Joan Fuster sobre l’assaig i l’articulisme literari –recordem que l’assagista de Sueca va publicar centenars d’articles en la premsa–, i les posa en relació amb les concepcions més esteses entre la teoria literària.
