Abstract
Este trabalho apresenta uma concepção de liberdade republicana de imprensa a partir de uma análise e construção conceitual inspirada nos conceitos kantianos de uso público e uso privado da razão. Nesse contexto, apresenta-se, por um lado, críticas ao modelo liberal de liberdade de imprensa e, por outro, propõe-se, em linhas gerais, uma forma como um modelo republicano de liberdade de imprensa poderia ser implementado no contexto das sociedades democráticas contemporâneas.
