Abstract
Introducción: La telesalud es una herramienta de fortalecimiento del vínculo educativo, intervención y monitorización de los pacientes que padecen de insuficiencia cardiaca. Ayuda a fortalecer los procesos de referenciación y contrarreferenciación y permite vencer las barreras geográficas que nos limitan en la actualidad. Objetivo: Presentar las alternativas disponibles para realizar seguimiento por telemedicina y sus aplicaciones en falla cardiaca. Metodología: Revisión narrativa de la literatura. Conclusión: El éxito de los programas que se generen en telesalud dependerá del diseño de algoritmos sencillos de atención y solución de problemas del paciente más que de la sofisticación de aparatos o tecnología. Es necesario considerar la normatividad vigente que aplica a la telesalud para vencer de manera adecuada las barreras del sistema.
