Abstract
The present research aimed to compare psychometric characteristic of tests between that have items contains geometric shapes accordance with the real value and have items contains geometric shapes different from the real value. The study group consists of 145 8th grade students who are educated in Gaziantep. The data are analyzed by ITEMAN 3.50 program. Giving shapes different values from the real values generally indicated that questions are more difficult and items discrimination index is higher. Internal consistency coefficient of the test is found higher in questions which were given different values from the real values of the shapes.
