Abstract
The article traces the development of scenography in the theatre centres of Eastern Siberia Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk in the second half of the XX century. The author marks the evolution periods, analyzes the key performances and peculiarities of the creative works by the leading scenographs G. Volkov, M.Tsibarovsky, S. Stavtseva, E. Kochergin, etc.
