Abstract
Al ser firmado el concordato con la Santa Sede en 1887, se otorgaron facilidades a la iglesia colombiana para establecer órdenes religiosas en el territorio nacional: la jerarquía eclesiástica quedó conformada por el clero regular o diocesano y el de las comunidades. El primero atendía la feligresía en general, mientras los segundos, conforme al concordato, se consagraban a la educación, la caridad y la misiones.
Entre los archivos colombianos de arquitectura que se conservan de la primera mitad del siglo XX, está el de la comunidad salesiana del Colegio León XIII de Bogotá, recopilado por su actual padre rector, Mario Peresson Tonelli, promotor del impecable trabajo de restauración del templo carmelitano de Giovanni Bucaglione.
