Abstract
1. Las inflorescencias de Huilaea Wurdack representan sinflorescencias monotélicas truncadas. 2. Las flores de Huilaea Wurdack están sustentadas por brácteas florales y siempre precedidas de dos bractéolas caducas, las cuales pueden llevar producto axilar. 3. Lasinflorescencias de Blakea P. Br. y Topobea Aubl. representan también sinflorescencias monotélicas truncadas. Los paracladios permanecen sin ramificarse; pero por lo regular en estos géneros tiene lugar la formación de paracladios accesorios o seriales en las axilas de cada hoja de sustentación. 4. Las brácteas estériles que se encuentran por debajo del hipantio de las flores de Blakea P. Br. y Topobea Aubl. son homólogas con los dos pares de brácteas fértiles de los paracladios de Huilaea Wurdack.
