Abstract
While preparing future specialists the main part is student’s education at lecture and workshop. The readiness of future social educators to work in institutions of the residential type contains the following components: cognitive, active, personal, reflexive. The article describes the students’ preparation for work in residential care institutions during the teaching of disciplines "Technologies of social and pedagogical activity" and "Techniques and technologies of the work of a social pedagogue". Diagnostic analysis of levels of formation of cognitive and active components is carried out. Qualitative and quantitative results are described as a percentage.
