Abstract
Los investigadores de SETI (búsqueda de inteligencia extraterrestre) cuentan hoy día con equipos muy sofisticados que facilitan la tarea de escuchar y descubrir una señal extraterrestre. Esto abre la posibilidad de que se reciba un mensaje proveniente de seres inteligentes en el espacio y que la eventual comunicación con otra civilización podría redundar en enormes beneficios para el ser humano, no solo en el campo científico, sino también político.
