Abstract
On constate que malgré la brillante démonstration apportée par les forages dans le fond des océans, les praticiens de la géologie observent une certaine réserve face aux concepts de la Tectonique globale. C'est que d'une part, certaines hypothèses de base sont difficiles à comprendre et que d'autre part, la théorie aide assez peu à la résolution des problèmes qui se présentent au géologue praticien. Nous prendrons comme exemple - la difficulté de l'interprétation des anomalies magnétiques des océans; - le problème des « structures reliques » en milieu océanique; - le problème du changement de plaque et de l'inversion du mouvement; - les bassins intraplaques transverses aux ouvertures.
Despite the brilliant demonstration of drilling into ocean beds, geologists seems ta be maintaining a certain reserve when confronted with concepts of global tectonics. On one hand, some basic assumptions are difficult ta understand, and on the other the theory is of relatively little help in solving the problems faced by practicing geologists. A few examples of such problems are - the difficulty in interpreting magnetic anomalies in oceans; - the problem of « relic structures » in on oceanic environment; - the problem of plate changes and inversion of movements; - intraplate basins bridging openings.
يُلاحَظ أنه على الرغم من الإثبات الباهر الذي قدمته عمليات الحفر في قيعان المحيطات، فإن المشتغلين بالجيولوجيا يُبدون تحفظًا معينًا إزاء مفاهيم التكتونية الشاملة. ويرجع ذلك، من جهة، إلى صعوبة فهم بعض الفرضيات الأساسية، ومن جهة أخرى، إلى أن النظرية لا تُسهم إلا بقدر ضئيل في حل المشكلات التي تواجه الجيولوجي الممارس. وسنأخذ على سبيل المثال: - صعوبة تفسير الشذوذات المغناطيسية في المحيطات؛ - مسألة «البِنى المتبقية» في الوسط المحيطي؛ - مسألة تغيّر الصفائح وانعكاس الحركة؛ - الأحواض داخل الصفائحية المستعرضة لمناطق الانفتاح.
على الرغم من البرهان الجليّ لعمليات الحفر في قيعان المحيطات، يبدو أن الجيولوجيين يحافظون على قدر من التحفظ عند مواجهة مفاهيم التكتونية الشاملة. فمن ناحية، يصعب استيعاب بعض الافتراضات الأساسية، ومن ناحية أخرى، لا تقدم النظرية سوى مساعدة ضئيلة نسبيًا في حل المشكلات التي تواجه الجيولوجيين الممارسين. ومن الأمثلة على هذه المشكلات: - صعوبة تفسير الشذوذات المغناطيسية في المحيطات؛ - مشكلة «البِنى المتبقية» في البيئة المحيطية؛ - مشكلة تغيرات الصفائح وانعكاس الحركات؛ - الأحواض داخل الصفائح العابرة لمناطق الانفتاح.
