Abstract
En el bosque andino de la tierra fría de Cundinamarca se encuentra a veces una pequeña Lepanthes epifítica que parece ser nueva para Colombia. Se trata de Lepanthes mesochlora, Reichenb , f . cuyo tipo ha sido coleccionado en el Ecuador y que ocurre también en el Perú (Ch , Schweinfurth, Orchids of Perú, p. 254/255). Esta especie se distingue de muchas otras por la forma de sus pétalos, que son tripartidos, en vez de tener dos lóbulos como pasa en general.
