Abstract
O presente artigo busca explanar sobre o comportamento da Vale S.A. - organização de grande porte com reconhecimento mundial - na plataforma Facebook e no site oficial, para entender como a comunicação pode interferir na relação de clientes, stakeholders e seguidores durante o período de crise. Inicialmente, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica com os seguintes pressupostos: Sustentabilidade e Responsabilidade Ambiental; Comunicação Organizacional e Gestão de Crise; e Mídias Sociais. Em seguida, em virtude do desastre ambiental que ocorreu em novembro de 2015 na cidade de Mariana/MG, verificou-se a eficácia do profissional que gerencia o site e a plataforma Facebook da organização estudada. Para isso, uma semana após o desastre, realizou-se um estudo exploratório que apresenta exemplos de reclamações de internautas na fanpage da Vale S.A. no Facebook.
