Abstract
Observations of water vapor, liquid water content and ice water content in the atmosphere were carried out at Syowa Station in 1988. Precipitable water, column liquid water and column ice water were measured. This paper reports the results and the relationships among them and temperature, humidity and satellite brightness temperatures. Based on the relations the characteristics of clouds and precipitation are discussed.
