Abstract
RESUMO: O objetivo é analisar desafios às pesquisas em administração/gestão educacional/escolar. Para tal, procedemos à identificação dos resultados de estudos que diagnosticam a produção da área para, em seguida, explicitar alguns referenciais presentes nas pesquisas e, finalmente, lançar os limites deles e os desafios que lançam para o avanço na produção do conhecimento na área. De modo geral, apontamos como desafio o aprofundamento conceitual da área com a busca de novos horizontes teóricos que nos possibilitem compreender a complexidade da administração/gestão educacional/escolar, no sentido de interrogá-las e não prescrever suas práticas.
