Abstract
Los municipios coruñeses de Brión y Padrón, insertados ambos en un mundo de innegable protagonismo agrario y en zonas muy próximas geográficamente, muestran, no obstante, en su paisaje actual las huellas de una evolución histórica con características socioeconómicas y demográficas diferenciadas. Lejos de revestir estas diferencias un caso excepcional en el territorio de Galicia, caracterizado como es notorio por su marcada diversidad interna dentro de un conjunto más amplio de notable uniformidad, suministra abundantes elementos de análisis para acercarnos a una más adecuada comprensión de los procesos de cambio en la Galicia rural en la época contemporánea.
