Abstract
The curricular organization of Contemporary History in the Secondary School in Cuba was modified within the changes that took place in the international situation of the years 1990, mainly due to the collapse of the European Socialist Field and the disintegration of the USSR. Those modifications characterized the most recent period in the school discipline. The present article is devoted to the brief analysis of the transformations in the
conception of the discipline in the context of this situation.
