Abstract
The contribution is devoted to the analysis of Slovak mining restructuralisation, as an integral component of its transformation process. It analyses the progress and consequences in three components of mining industry: Mining and extraction and processing of iron ores and non-ferrous metals Magnesite industry Coal mining The paper is, in fact, an introduction to a wider work of the author.
