Abstract

En la última década del siglo XX los países de América Latina plantearon o buscaron soluciones a los problemas educativos de la región a través de las Conferencias Iberoamericanas de la Educación. Dichos problemas son consecuencia de situaciones no resueltas y de los desafíos que plantean los cambios tecnológicos y la globalización.

En el artículo se realzan aquellos problemas principales en cada una de las conferencias y se seleccionan dos cuestiones: educación y trabajo; institución escolar.
