Abstract
Public policies that promote, as the Food Acquisition Program have been directed to the family farm in order to maximize the production potential of farmers and enable the retention of most families in the country, as well as ensure the continued production of food. Thus, this article aims to analyze the impact of the acquisition of food present in the Territories of Citizenship in the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia, in relation to associations / cooperatives and family farms. Data collection and information were from prior contact with established agents Technical Assistance and Rural Extension, Cooperative Portal teacher students who participated in the courses for the PAA Simultaneous Donation, and answered the questionnaire via e-mail. From the completion of the work can be seen that the PAA came to strengthen these two important segments in society, namely, family farms and cooperatives, leveraged the work that was already done, leveraged through this important public policy. However some weaknesses of the program were evident, as the difficulties presented by Ater agents and representatives of cooperatives and associations in drafting the proposal to be sent to the National Supply Company to the extent of the resource.
