Abstract
The «Dichos de Leomarte», a short collection of sentences drawn from the sylloge of classical material called «Sumas de Historia Troyana», have been preserved both with the source and as an independent text, with different extensions in the various manuscripts. The article reviews this text in relation to the «Sumas», examining the mechanisms of selection and organization of materials, and highlighting as well some features of the source, which exposed in brief to the Castilian public the classic epic matter, read from an exemplary perspective.
