Abstract
No vamos a estudiar a José Eusebio Caro, como poeta filósofo, ni mucho menos al Caro forjador de un sistema filosófico, aquí lo primero, porque tendríamos que analizar pormenorizadamente cada poema y, en trata hacer el desdoblamiento del lenguaje poético en lenguaje prosaico. Lo segundo, porque no vamos a preguntarnos si Caro fue o no un pensador creador de una nueva concepción filosófica, hasta el punto de compararle con algún presocrático, con Platón ... Descartes, Kant, Hegel o Heidegger; o, limitando el marco, estudiar los alcances filosóficos de Caro dentro del círculo de la hispanidad americana, porque todo esto nos llevaría a elaborar un tratado de las corrientes filosóficas en América; y lo que es más: a valorar la filosofía americana a la luz de la filosofía universal
