Abstract
El sargento fue el primero en despertarse. No era su nombre ni su apodo, aunque era muy común que los arrieros llevaran sobrenombres claros y sonoros, fáciles de memorizar, para que no se perdieran las mercancías. Las jornadas eran muy largas, los caminos muy malos. En caso de que los productos no llegaran a su destino, siempre había por quién preguntar. En su nombre el arriero depositaba la honradez y calidad de su trabajo.
