Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es analizar cómo los cambios observados, principalmente en la última década, en la organización pedagógica de la enseñanza de idiomas en los países europeos están influyendo en el cuerpo docente involucrado en este tipo de enseñanza. Se pasa revista a las diferentes soluciones adoptadas por las autoridades educativas para actualizar la fonnación lingüística y didáctica del profesorado en servicio, así como de los candidatos a futuros profesores de lenguas extranjeras. Este artículo se basa en las conclusiones del estudio sobre la enseñanza de idiomas en contexto escolar en Europa, recientemente publicado por la red Eurydice.
