Abstract
Reeds 2 500 jaar gelede was "vrede" 'n slagspreuk van welmenende maar verkeerd ingeligte mense. Aangaande hierdie valse hoop en eensydige verkondiging s� die profeet van ouds: "En hulle genees die verbreking van die dogter van my volk op die maklikste manier deur te s�: 'Vrede, vrede' - terwyl daar geen vrede is nie" (Jer 6:14).
