Abstract
Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender o panorama atual da literatura nacional referente à qualidade de vida (QV) de idosos submetidos à hemodiálise (HD) e as possíveis repercussões do tratamento, por meio de uma revisão sistemática de publicações realizadas na última década. Feita busca nas bases indexadoras eletrônicas da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) no período de 2003 a 2013. Concluiu-se que inúmeros são os fatores que acarretam baixa QV ao idoso submetido à HD, entre eles físicos, psicológicos e socioculturais, com variações de acordo com a área analisada.
