Abstract
Considerando importante conocer el comportamiento de indicadores del Programa Materno Infantil se realizó un estudio descriptivo-retrospectivo de corte transversal durante el 2001-2002 en el Hospital General Docente "27 de Noviembre" en Consolación del Sur. Se utilizó para la comparación el método aritmético simple (porcentaje). El mayor número de nacimientos ocurrió en el año 2001 con 437 casos. La tasa de morbi- mortalidad predominó entre 12.3-12.6. El bajo peso al nacer se comportó en 5 en el 2001. Las defunciones fetales se comportaron en 2 en el primer año de estudio para una tasa de 0.4. El mayor número de remisiones de recién nacidos se realizó en el año 2001 con 18. Las remisiones obstétricas estuvieron entre 405 y 427 respectivamente. El número de casos de ginecología, vistos en el cuerpo de guardia, fue mayor durante el 2001 con 1775. El mayor porciento de casos vistos de obstetricia 1257, fue durante el 2002. El mas elevado índice ocupacional en pediatría ocurrió en el 2001 con 39.7 %. La mayoría de los niños con BCG y HB, 428 y 433 fueron vacunados durante el 2001. Sugerimos extender esta investigación a las áreas del municipio a fin de evaluar el comportamiento de los indicadores del Programa Materno-Infantil (P.A.M.I.) por la repercusión de las mismas en los indicadores hospitalarios.
From knowing that the behaviour of the maternal-child program indexes was relevant, a descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study was performed during 2001-2002 at "27 de Noviembre" Teaching General Hospital, Consolación del Sur. The arithmetic simple method (percentage) was used for comparison. Most of births occurred (437 cases) in year 2001, prevailing the morbility-mortality rate between 12.3-12.6. The low birth weight was evident in 5 in the year 2001. The two fetal deaths occurred in the first year of the study (0.4). In 2001 it was observed the occurrence of 18 newborn remissions. The obstetrics remissions ranged between 405 and 427 cases. The number of cases of gynecology attended at the Emergency Room was higher in 2001 (1775 cases). In 2002, it was attended the highest percentage of obstetrics cases (1257). The highest occupational index in Pediatrics was observed in 2001 (39.7 %). Most of the children were vaccinated with BCG and HB vaccine in 2001 (428 and 433 respectively). It is suggested to spread the current research to the municipality in order to assess the behaviour of the Maternal-Child Program Indexes due to the repercussion in the hospital indicators.
