Abstract
This text is an approach to several ideas stated by the sociologist Émile Durkheim dealing with suicide, especially the question about how his idea of suicidogenic societies and anomic suicide has probably contributed to the psychoanalytical conception of suicide. The objective is to clarify, at the same time, the usefulness of a broad concept like discourse, from a critical point of view of contemporary cognitive sciences, as well as how they define and tackle the issue of suicide in general terms. // El siguiente texto aborda algunas de las ideas expuestas por el sociólogo Émile Durkheim con respecto al suicidio, pero sobre todo, cuál podría ser el aporte que su idea de las sociedades suicidógenas y del suicidio anómico haría a la concepción misma del suicidio para el psicoanálisis. Todo ello con el objetivo de aclarar, de paso, cuál podría ser la utilidad de un concepto amplio como el de discurso, desde una posición crítica de las ciencias cognitivas contemporáneas y su definición y abordaje del fenómeno del suicidio en general.
