Abstract
O artigo reflete como o currículo escolar interfere na produção da identidade/diferença de crianças indígenas de uma escola. Amparado nas reflexões teóricas, o texto pretende criar debates envolvendo essa temática no espaço da academia. Baseada em trabalho de campo, na técnica da observação participante e diálogos informais com professores/as das séries iniciais, a pesquisa verifica que os docentes da escola, não possuem dificuldade em reconhecer as diferenças, mas de realizar práticas pedagógicas que não discrimine, exclua, hierarquize e nem trate as crianças indígenas, como “iguais”, mas construa com elas um espaço de diálogo e de produção de novos saberes.
