Abstract
<p>Se presenta aquí un estudio contrastivo de las estrategias de cortesía en español y holandés, el cual refleja diferencias en expresiones de cortesía solidaria y cortesía de distanciamiento. Con base en la tipología de actos de habla según Searle, se contrasta la realización, en los dos idiomas, de tres tipos de cortesía: la asertiva, la exhortativa y la expresiva. El autor concluye que en español predomina la cortesía solidaria, mientras que en holandés es más frecuente la cortesía de distanciamiento. Se señala la necesidad de realizar estudios cuantitativos para corroborar esta hipótesis.</p>
