Abstract
Auf das für die Untersuchung doppeltbrechender Strukturen des Nervensystems bisher noch nicht eingesetzte polarisationsmikroskopische Verfahren zwischencircularem Polarisator undcircularem Analysator wird hingewiesen. Der wesentliche Vorteil gegenüber linear polarisierenden Nicols besteht darin, daß sämtliche optische anisotropen Objekte des Sehfeldes unabhängig vom Azimut zur Darstellung kommen. Nach kurzer Erläuterung der Methode und des optischen Prinzips wird der spezielle Anwendungsbereich umrissen und anhand zweier Beispiele (Markscheidenquerschnitte, Lipidablagerungen in Glianarben von Multipler Sklerose) demonstriert.
