Abstract
Resumen Son evidentes las grandes brechas entre los países. La mayoría de las personas que habitan el planeta no poseen el mínimo bienestar material ni social. Se gestan evaluaciones de diversos temas, tanto sociales, como económicos y la devastación ambiental. Se organizan encuentros entre diversos intelectuales, políticos, intercambios de conocimientos científicos, entre gobiernos, grupos humanistas y organizaciones sociales. Se establece la vinculación entre economía, sociedad y medio ambiente, subrayando la necesidad de lograr un desarrollo sostenible, con una mayor equidad internacional. El objetivo del artículo es develar la necesidad de la sostenibilidad para vivir, así como la esencia del debate internacional sobre esta problemática y la posición de Cuba que, reconoce la necesidad de acelerar la eliminación de las cada vez más dramáticas diferencias entre países desarrollados y países en desarrollo. Como métodos científicos se emplearon el Histórico-lógico y el Trabajo con las fuentes de información internacionales y nacionales vinculadas con la temática. Palabras claves: sostenibilidad, desarrollo sostenible, medio ambiente, agotamiento de los recursos naturales. Abstract The great gaps between the countries are evident. The majority of the people that inhabit the planet do not possess the minimum material or social welfare. Evaluations of diverse topics are generated, both social, economic and environmental devastation. In addition, meetings are organized between various intellectuals, politicians, exchanges of scientific knowledge, between governments, humanist groups and social organizations. The link between economy, society and the environment is established, underlining the need to achieve sustainable development, with greater international equity. The objective of the article is to reveal the need for sustainability to live, as well as the essence of the international debate on this issue and the position of Cuba that recognizes the need to accelerate the elimination of the increasingly dramatic differences between developed countries and countries in developing. As scientific methods, the Logical-Historical and the Work with the international and national sources of information linked to the subject were used.
