Abstract
Symptom management and skilled communication with patients and families are essential clinical services in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. While palliative care specialists have training in these skills, many front-line clinicians from other specialties do not. It is imperative that all clinicians responding to the COVID-19 crisis have access to clinical tools to support symptom management and difficult patient and family communication.
يُعدّ تدبير الأعراض والتواصل الماهر مع المرضى وعائلاتهم من الخدمات السريرية الأساسية في خضم جائحة كوفيد-19. وفي حين يمتلك اختصاصيو الرعاية التلطيفية تدريباً على هذه المهارات، فإن العديد من الممارسين السريريين في الخطوط الأمامية من تخصصات أخرى يفتقرون إليه. لذا، فمن الضروري أن تتاح لجميع الممارسين السريريين المستجيبين لأزمة كوفيد-19 إمكانية الوصول إلى أدوات سريرية تدعم تدبير الأعراض والتعامل مع المواقف التواصلية الصعبة مع المرضى وعائلاتهم.
