Abstract
In this research, the objective was to identify the difficulties found by the nurses of the Hospital Santa paula (HSp), private institution, located in the south area of São paulo, related to the humanized nursing care. A quantitative field research was done based in a two-part questionnaire, applied to the nurses, after approval of the Nursing manager of the HSp. In the first part, it was displayed the professionals qualification. The other part relates the difficulties found by the nurses of the HSp in the application of the humanized care. It was also demonstrated the strategies of implementations, improving the quality of the humanized care. It was concluded that, in view of the financial difficulties, the institutions do not offer conditions for the nurses to afford humanized care assistence to the patients, providing an appropriate atmosphere with human resources and materials in enough quality to accomplish this aim.
