Abstract
Türk belediyeciliğinin batıdan, özellikle Fransa'dan alındığı, bünyeye uydurulmaya çalışıldığı realitesi ret edilmemektedir. Yalnızca "Türk belediyeciliği açısından konunun milli kökleri de vardır" saptaması yapılmaktadır. Bunun böyle olması insan doğası ve toplumsal kültür mirasının gereğidir. Buradan hareketle, Türkiye'deki belediyecilik uygulamalarını milli kurumları hesaba katmayan bir analitik değerlendirme ile açıklamak eksik olacaktır.
