Abstract
Ülkemizde en önemli sosyal yardım kuruluşu olan Sosyal Yardımlar Genel Müdürlüğü (SYGM) uyguladığı sosyal yardım programlarıyla hem fakru zaruret içinde bulunan ve hiçbir sosyal
güvencesi olmayan yoksul, kimsesiz, engelli ve ihtiyaç sahibi kimselere yardımcı olmakta, hem de istihdam odaklı, mesleki eğitim ve proje destekleriyle işsiz, eğitimsiz kişilere yardımcı olmaktadır. Türkiye’de il ve ilçelerde sayıları bine yaklaşan “Sosyal Yardımlaşma ve Dayanışma Vakıfları” aracılığıyla sosyal yardımlarını yurt çapında koordineli bir şekilde yerine getiren SYGM’ nün yoksullara yönelik uyguladığı sosyal politikalar çalışmamızın konusunu teşkil etmektedir.
