Abstract
The true understanding of Qur’an and the transforming the messa.g.e. of it to the present as appropriate to its aim is dependent to a great extent on reading of it as a historical text. This thought which is mostly entry point of traditional interpretation method has gained different dimension with the present day historical approach. According to this approach the Qur’an is a historical fact as a speech, the inclusive adjugements are shaped in terms of historical conditions and its universality is limited with the messa.g.e. and basic ethical principles which are offered by it. The evaluation of historicity of Qur’an in a wide frame will result in the appearance of practices which are the most important aspects of religious life as a factor changing to the time and place. This will transform Islam into a teaching with a set of ethical rules lack of main unchanging pillar
