ÂŞIK VEYSEL’İN ŞİİRLERİNİ DEĞERLER EĞİTİMİ AÇISINDAN OKUMAK [READING ÂŞIK VEYSEL POEMS IN TERMS OF VALUES EDUCATION]

Son zamanlarda her türlü bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeye rağmen dünyada yaşanan şiddet ve korku havası, maddî ve manevî tatminsizlikler; acımasızlık, adaletsizlikler, çevrede olup bitenlere karşı duyarsızlık, mutsuzluk ve hayattan memnuniyetsizlik gibi problemler, eksikliği hissedilen değerlerin öğretimi ve aktarımını daha önemli bir hâle getirmiş; devletleri, millî ve evrensel kimi değerleri yeniden canlı ve etkili hâle getirmeye ve yaşanılan çağa uygun yeni bir takım değerler oluşturmaya; böylelikle kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş sosyal kontrolü yeniden sağlamaya sevk etmiştir. Bu düşünceyle “değerler eğitimi” tüm dünyada çok sayıda çalışmaya konu olmuştur. 1995 yılından beri ise ciddi bir şekilde üzerinde durularak ve “Yaşayan Değerler Eğitimi” adıyla projelendirilerek daha ziyade ölmeye yüz tutmuş değerler yeniden canlandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu konuda ülkemizde de bu değerlerin okul aracılığıyla kazandırılabileceği düşüncesiyle ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimde okutulan tüm derslerin ders öğretim programlarında, dersle ilgilileri de düşünülerek bir takım hedef değerler belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Türk edebiyatının, millî ve manevî değerlerin aktarılmasında ve öğretilmesinde aracılık vazifesi yüklenen, muhatabı olan okuruna nasihat eden birçok esere sahip olduğu düşüncesiyle yirminci yüzyıl Türk halk edebiyatının en önemli isimlerinden birisi olan Âşık Veysel’in şiirlerini “değerler eğitimi açısından” okumaya çalıştık. 158 şiir üzerinde yaptığımız bu çalışma neticesinde Âşık Veysel’in okurlarına değer eğitimi çerçevesinde de pek çok şey söylediği ortaya çıkmıştır. Yaklaşık 900 dörtlükten oluşan bu şiirlerde değişik sıklıklarda olmak üzere altmışın üzerinde farklı değer tespit edildikten sonra bunlar, değerler eğitimi açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Despite the recent scientific and technological developments, such problems as the state of violence and fear in the world, material and spiritual dissatisfaction, brutality, injustice, insensitivity towards what is happening in the world, unhappiness, and dissatisfaction with life render the importance of values education that is missing and its transmission and encourage the governments to revitalize some national and universal values and establish a new set of contemporary values, thus bring back the social control that has almost extincted. With this in mind, “values education” has been the subject of numerous studies all over the world. Since 1995, it has been seriously emphasized and designed as a project called “Living Values Education” to attempt to revitalize the values that are on the brink of extinction. In this regard, in contemplation of values being taught in schools, a set of target values within the curriculum of all the courses taught in primary and secondary education has been determined in our country as well, considering the relevance of these values to the courses. In this study, we have attempted to read the poems by Âşık Veysel, who is one of the most important characters of Turkish folk literature in the twentieth century, in terms of “values education” considering that many of his works enable the national and spiritual values of Turkish literature to be taught and transmitted and give advices to his target readers. The results of studying on 158 poems brought about the fact that Aşık Veysel told his readers many things in the scope of values education. After identifying over 60 different values, at different frequency of occurrence, within these poems that consist of about 900 quadrants, the findings are evaluated and interpreted in terms of values education.
