Abstract
The aim of this article is to present the problems of managing supply chains on the example of the German automobile industry. In the first part of the article is presented the development of the automotive industry based on the ranking (World Invetment Report), the largest transnational corporations automotive industry in the world economy, with particular emphasis on the German automobile industry. In the second part of the article presents the logistics supply chain for example: the structure of supply chains producing roofs for the Mercedes class SLK and the characteristics of companies providing logistics services for the German automotive industry on the basis of a report BVL e.V.(Bundesvereinigung Logistik e.V.)
