Abstract
This paper reports on how the technology behind cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) i.e. Blockchain could offer its services in distributed energy system (DES), noting on the issues related to operating conditions, energy generation monitoring, energy sharing and trading, financial flows, emission inventory, carbon emission trading and many more.
