Abstract
An imported Bundibugyo virus disease case in Nigeria underscores the need for rapid recognition, contact tracing, laboratory readiness, and cross-border coordination. Updated evidence shows no onward Nigerian transmission in the reported follow-up, while Saudi Arabia’s Kenya-specific restrictions highlight the balance between proportionate travel measures and preparedness for Hajj and Umrah.
