Abstract
ABSTRACT In this multi-center double-blind pilot randomized trial, patient-directed antibiotic duration after symptom resolution demonstrated similar sustained clinical resolution and adverse events compared to fixed-duration treatment among women with pyelonephritis. These findings support the feasibility of this strategy and justify a larger adequately powered randomized trial to evaluate efficacy and safety.
